As Little Free Library Stewards, I believe we have a responsibility to not only share books that will appeal to a variety of readers, but will also expand their cultural, social, and environmental horizons. There is much we can learn from one another by reading.

As a retired teacher, I have always found it important to share diverse life experiences through those characters portrayed in literature. Sometimes, through reading, that is the only way one learns about others. Reading opens the mind to understanding and acceptance.
