Everyone deserves the opportunity to see themselves in a story. Representation matters! By expanding access to diverse stories we are working to build a more peaceful world.
I think it’s very important to have as many people groups represented in literature as possible.
I believe in the power of books to create windows and mirrors for students to see themselves and build empathy for people that are different than them. Representation matters so much and all of us should be reading books that celebrate diversity!
