Reading from diverse sources expands our understanding and empathy for the experiences of people of color, or others who have lived experiences that are different from our own. The knowledge gained is a benefit to our communities and helps strengthen our commitment to creating a welcoming environment for everyone.
In addition to having a Little Free Library, I work in a public library and see everyday the need for diverse, inclusive reading materials for our patrons and for those who use my LFL.

We welcome and embrace all. We partner with Sedgefield Elementary School with is very diverse in race, language and income. We want these families to use our resources to help their children learn.
