It’s important to share colors that reflect my family’s culture and the diverse culture of my community.
We hope that with more readily available and free access
to diverse pieces of literature, our library will generate thoughtful conversation surrounding diversity and help decolonize bookshelves, as well as minds.
Our organization is Without A Voice, Inc /Project-WAV. We are a 501c3 who’s main objective is to help increase Reading and Comprehension scores, and to close the “Literacy Gap” that has also become a major crisis in our Country- Especially, in regard to people of color. We Are Stronger Together

Carthage Enactus created a project this year called DiversiReads that aims to foster unity and belonging, bridge racial divides, and empower the next generation of leaders by providing access to diverse reading materials for local youth in the Kenosha community. This initiative aligns perfectly with our goals!
