Times are changing, people need to see in all areas that someone cares about, what they care about.
Representation matters
Everyone deserves to be able to see themselves reflected in the stories that they read from an early age.
There were not many materials available featuring people of color when I was a young person who is biracial. I feel it is important to read books featuring people of every background now that they are becoming more available.
To improve visibility and promote empathy and self-love for people of diverse backgrounds and experiences!
Sharing diverse perspectives is critical to creating change within our communities. Books are a great way to do this
