If you can see it, you can be it.
Books transport readers of all ages, but if the reader can’t see themselves represented in the story they are less likely to believe they can take those adventures.
Children need to see books that provide windows and mirrors to their lives.
To promote education and equality
Everyone should be inspired by reading books with diverse characters.
As a retired teacher, I know the value and importance of sharing diverse books with children of all ages! I strongly support this effort and will do my part to promote Read in Color.
Ours is a colorful world, we want to read about all of it!
