I live in Florida and books that celebrate the diversity of all Americans are being pulled from my school library. I want other children to have access to books that reflect who we all are.
I will work to include books whose stories represent all readers.
Combining community service with reading and the connection of us as brothers and sisters coming together warms my heart and soul!
Children and adults should be exposed to perspectives different than those in their home for a better understanding of others. In the social media age, we need more context to all that we’re exposed to. Broadening our views aids us in becoming more responsible and impactful global citizens.
