I am Puerto Rican and many of the books I read as a child were of white characters. Representation matters so much, especially to children. They deserve to see characters that look like them in the books that they read.
Because books showcasing the diversity of our children and their lives are beautiful! I want every child to find the perfect book for them. I love to read diverse books to my daughter!
Our strength can be found in our diversity! We all have stories to share and I love reading & writing them, too!
