It is important to teach diversity to our children from a young age and provide them with a view of the world as it truly is.
Reading is super important for all ages and I’m excited to engage in this challenge with my daughters.
There is someone in my neighborhood who leaves Spanish children’s books in our library. They shouldn’t be the only ones adding diversity to the library. There is a need for more representation for these kiddos.
I’m taking the Read in Color pledge because children deserve to see their culture, traditions, family life emulated on the beautiful pages of books!
