Everyone should read, AND everyone should find themselves in books as the central characters in all kinds of stories! We all deserve characters that look like who we are! Everybody!
My community is not very diverse and I think it’s important to keep a diverse supply of books to keep it visible.
It is important that books represent all readers, regardless of color, race, creed, gender, or whom you love. Love knows no boundaries. So why should books have bounds?
Because reading is Fundamental. I have grandchildren who love to read and I would love to see more kids read I don’t have a little free library though.
How do I get one?
I would like to have one on Burnside Ave in Gonzales Louisiana
This library is for all people and readers need to be able to see themselves, as well as those that are different than themselves.
My LFL is open to everyone so it needs to read & look like everyone. That is sharing. That is being inclusive.
