I strongly believe in the Read in Color Pledge, and want to be a part of this important initiative.
It is so important to us to support Read in Color- for all of our readers to be seen, heard, and supported in their experiences and identities.
I want to help our community by sharing books with children and families to help them keep reading.
Reading makes the world a better place!
Representation matters! My son has multiple racial and cultural identities, and I want him to see all varieties of people and families in the books we read.
I’m taking this pledge, in part, because representation and amplification of diverse voices, and reading about a wide range of perspectives is critical to understanding and empathy.
