In June 2020 I pledged to donate 100 books – highlighting diversity and BIPOC. I met my goal and still donate and steward through our local parks department.
To promote the love and joy of reading for everyone.
Diversity matters, starting with the books we read and share
I have friends and family members of color and from the LGBTQ community. My hope is this program can help educate people and bring Love to All!
We have a diverse group of visitors to our library and how wonderful it is to have something for everyone.
Reading in Color enriches our understanding of the cultural backgrounds of others. We embrace and celebrate ways of life differing from our own. By providing a diverse selection of books in our LFLs, we are sharing this opportunity to broaden perspective!
